2025 Social Responsibility and Volunteerism Projects

As the Social Responsibility and Volunteerism Coordination Office of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, we are pleased to share the social responsibility and social contribution activities carried out within our University in 2025 with the public and our stakeholders, in association with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

These activities, carried out in line with the social contribution policy of our University, aim to create value for society in various fields such as quality education, health and well-being, reducing inequalities, sustainable environment, social awareness, volunteerism culture, and stakeholder collaborations. The works implemented throughout 2025 with the contributions of our students, academic, and administrative staff have created a significant social impact area that contributes to sustainable development goals, starting from the local level.

The list prepared in this context makes visible the connection of the social responsibility and social contribution activities carried out in 2025 with the relevant United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and reveals the importance our University attaches to sustainable, inclusive, and community-oriented development.

In this regard, a total of 338 social responsibility and social contribution activities were carried out at our University throughout 2025, including 37 events by student clubs, 146 projects/activities carried out by students individually or with their advisors, 5 projects carried out by academic and administrative staff, and 150 events organized by the academic and administrative units of our University.

These projects and activities, in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, contribute to different areas such as quality education, poverty reduction, reducing inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, industry, innovation and infrastructure, and climate action. Within this scope, a wide range of studies have been carried out, such as high school visits, charity campaigns, science communication events, short film and culture-art achievements, city and society-oriented panels, innovative idea development events themed on sustainability and artificial intelligence, and innovative technology projects/activities for disaster management. Thus, our students, as well as our academic and administrative staff, have made concrete contributions to sustainable development goals in the fields of education, culture-arts, social solidarity, environmental sustainability, and technological innovation, while producing social benefit with an awareness of volunteerism.
